I was taking my soccer penalty kick, these two powerful kicks and “BANG”, my potential energy had just then turned kinetic.
Kinetic Energy!
Teaching- you could possibly show an object moving, and explain that while it is moving, it is using kinetic energy
Potential Energy- the mechanical energy that a body has by virtue of its position; stored energy, energy based on the position of an object
I stood there, with the potential energy in my body waiting to turn kinetic.
Teaching- Show a rubber band pulled back, the energy it has is being held by you, but the energy is not used until you release the rubber band (kinetic energy)
Acoustic Energy- the sound or vibrations of hearing, anything that you can hear
I heard the song, the vibrations ringing through me ear, this was acoustic energy.
Teaching- Pulling a bass instrument, very loudly, or turning up the bass of a car radio to explain the vibrations, and how they hear it is acoustic energy
Electrical Energy- the flow of electric power, and how it flows, our most widely used source of energy
The energy was in the power outlet, and as I plugged my computer I could tell the energy was rushing into the computer charging it up again.
Teaching- Turning the lights on and off, and explaining that the light bulb is being powered electrically
I was playing with my little brother and we were using magnets, so I decided that I would explain electromagnetic energy to him, even though he probably won't understand it.
Teaching- show two magnets and explain how they are related to electromagnetic energy

Nuclear Energy- Energy that is released throughout a nuclear reaction and is a fission, or fusion, or energy that is released by a nuclear atom
I saw the nuclear energy explosion as I was watching the video, and it was crazy!

I knew that as I ate my food, the digestion process was chemical as my stomach broke down my food.
Teaching- Showing the digestion process and how chemicals are used in the process
